LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

In September of 2005, Quincy retrieved his last bird.  Due to the generosity of friends and family, Quincy not only got his very own gravestone but we also created an award in his name.  The award is a beautiful bronze statue created by Rip Caswell several years ago.  Rip was kind enough to sell me his last artist proof which we mounted on a stand to create the trophy of which you will see on this page.

The award goes to an Oregon Hunting Retriever Club member’s dog which is found to have shown outstanding achievement in the field and in life.  In simplest terms, I look at it as a dog I would like to own.

The award was set up like the Heisman trophy.  Only owners of the dogs that have received the award along with me can vote for the next winner.  There are a lot of great and deserving dogs owned by OHRC members.  Only a select few will ever have their name on the Island Acres Quincy MH Lifetime Achievement Award.
